The Person
Always bright and sunny unlike the cold and unforgiving temperatures of his home country, Johan puts on a smile and a grin for everyone. He's rarely seen with anything but, although scrunched face in concentration when he's dueling is another thing. That doesn't mean he's over-the-top serious when he duels: in fact, as long as he has fun, he doesn't mind if he wins or loses! He loves dueling and working with his monsters, whom he calls his "family" because they are exactly that--his family in the place of a lack of one.
His usually bright and cheery demeanor isn't an act; he truly does live optimistically and always tries to help where he can. Where other people would squander everything else to help, Johan would sacrifice himself. If there was a problem that could be solved with no casualties except for him, he would take it. He puts others first and himself second, and is happy to do so.
